Signed to the Future Classic label, and tipped as Australia’s hottest new export after his highly praised Coachella debut, singer/songwriter and producer Hayden James makes his music with organs, guitars and noisy synthesisers. His latest single ‘Something About You’ was released in July and has come the anthem of the summer and has already gained over 4.4 Soundcloud plays. It follows the dreamy Balearic pop of his debut ‘Permission To Love’, which became the No.1 most blogged track on Hype Machine upon release in June 2013, with remixes from label mates Touch Sensitive and Charles Murdoch.
Influenced by the likes of Caribou, Jamie xx and Daft Punk, Haydenis collating his debut album that is becoming hugely anticipated. This, being Hayden’s first solo project, has given him the freedom to create music that resonates on a very personal level.
The success of ‘Something About You’ projected Hayden to tour across Australia, Europe and the Americas. The track was given an official release in 2015 followed by an exciting remix package with ODESZA, Ben Pearce, Charles Webster and Just Kiddin.
Now, fresh from his UK European Tour date, during which he played at Bramham Park in Leeds over a hot bank holiday weekend, September sees him play a host of venues in his home country, Australia. Follow Hayden James on Facebook and Twitter for the news of the album as and when it is released.
